No difference

French Lentils (Puy)

3/4 cup dry French green lentils, rinsed
2 and 1/4 cups water
1 vegetable bouillon cube
3 large cloves garlic
1 tsp dried rosemary, or one sprig fresh
3/4 tsp dried thyme, or 2 tsp fresh
1/2 tsp dried savory
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1 dry or fresh bay leaf
1/2 tsp blackstrap molasses
freshly ground black pepper to taste
lemon wedges

Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan, except the lemon, and cook on high heat until boiling.  Reduce heat, cover, and cook for 35-40 minutes or until lentils are tender.  Remove from the heat and season with salt and pepper.  Serve with lemon wedges for squeezing over the lentils.  Serve with cooked squash or over basmati rice.

No Difference
by Shel Silverstein
Small as a peanut,
Big as a giant,
We're all the same size
When we turn off the light.

Rich as a sultan,
Poor as a mite,
We're all worth the same
When we turn off the light.

Red, black or orange,
Yellow or white,
We all look the same
When we turn off the light.

So maybe the way
To make everything right
Is for God to just reach out
And turn off the light!
